In 2012, Ethan Schlemer received the surprise diagnosis of sarcoma in his leg and was immediately referred to Dr. Cindy Kelly where he underwent a total leg reconstruction surgery.
A year and half following that surgery, Ethan rehabbed his leg striving to regain full functionality but ended up breaking it in the process. After developing a staph infection, his leg was unable to heal properly due to prior chemo and radiation treatments. In 2014, he sought the care of Dr. Kelly once again where he had surgery to amputate his leg. Ethan is pain-free and walking with ease thanks to his prosthetic and the swift actions of Dr. Kelly and her surgical team
