Orthopedic care

Some of the treatments they offer include recommending lifestyle changes, applying casts and performing surgeries, such as ligament repairs or total joint replacements.

Our orthopedic team can answer these questions and any others you have. We offer many treatment options, nonsurgical and surgical, and we'll work together with you to get you back to maximum mobility and function.

Nonsurgical treatments

We understand you may have concerns about a surgical procedure for your condition, and we opt for nonsurgical methods whenever possible. We want to provide you with the options that are most comfortable for you, including:

  • Braces
  • Casting
  • Compression
  • Corticosteroid injections
  • Hyaluronate injections
  • Rehabilitation services
  • Splinting

Orthopedic surgery

Our orthopedic surgeons perform several effective procedures. We use minimally invasive procedures whenever possible to shorten your recovery. Our options include:

  • Arthroscopy — Use of a scope equipped with a miniature camera and tools to complete surgery
  • External fixation — Surgical treatment to attach devices to the bones from outside of the body
  • Internal fixation — Surgical insertion of plates, screws and titanium rods in relation to bones inside the body

Specialty orthopedic services

Our orthopedic clinics also offer a wide range of highly advanced programs for specific conditions or issues.

Arthritis care

With arthritis, the cartilage wears thin over time or becomes inflamed by your body's immune system. The result is swelling, pain and potential joint deformity.

You may receive anti-inflammatory medications and other nonsurgical care as a first line of treatment. However, if your condition is at an advanced stage, you may feel as though all conservative methods have been exhausted. Don't lose hope. We provide many options to keep your joints strong, stable, flexible and mobile, including minimally invasive procedures and total joint replacement surgery. We want to help you be as active as possible with minimal discomfort.

Fracture care

Fractures require immediate care, whether the bone injury is a barely visible hairline crack or a complex break in multiple places. Our orthopedic surgeons are experts at caring for many fractures, offering treatments such as cast care, surgery and rehabilitation services to restore your performance. No matter the fracture type, we diagnose the underlying cause and plan your treatment to best help you heal and restore your function.

Joint care and replacement

Chronic joint pain can interrupt your livelihood and cause significant discomfort. Our priority is to ensure your comfort and confidence as we move through your treatment and a personalized rehabilitation plan.

Our physicians have taken additional training to provide advanced treatments. They specialize in:

  • Foot and ankle care — Covers procedures such as clubfoot repairs, ankle replacement and Achilles tendon repairs
  • Hip care and replacement — Includes arthroscopic surgery for hip pain, total hip replacements, pre-operative preparation and post-operative rehabilitation
  • Knee care and replacement — Includes total knee replacements
  • Shoulder care and replacement —Includes arthroscopy and total shoulder replacements

Limb preservation

Some infections, traumatic injuries, cancers or chronic illnesses can threaten your limb health. When such situations arise, we act quickly and consult with specialists who have training in innovative limb preservation techniques.

In certain situations, it's possible that part of your treatment will include amputation. When this happens, we'll do everything we can to make sure you have the knowledge and resources you need to make an informed decision about your care.

We'll also work closely with our partners, Colorado Limb Consultants, to restore your mobility and function as fully as possible.
